Are you a top-rated salesperson ready to join the Gulf Coast’s premier outdoor design and contracting firm? Bluefin Contracting and Design is seeking a motivated Consultant to help clients in Mobile and Baldwin County transform their backyards into stunning, custom-designed retreats.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Design Consultant to manage the entire sales and design cycle for new pool and outdoor living projects. This is a high-earning, outside sales position where you will be the direct link between the client’s dream and our skilled construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultative Sales & Site Assessment: Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective customers at their homes throughout Mobile and Baldwin Counties to understand their vision, budget, and site-specific needs.
- Custom Design: Utilize design software to create beautiful, custom-tailored proposals that incorporate new pool construction, pool remodeling, and complementary outdoor living elements (hardscaping, walls, covers).
- Client Management: Present detailed proposals, clearly explain our 6-step construction process, address all customer questions, and secure signed contracts.
- Pipeline & CRM: Manage a robust sales pipeline, perform consistent follow-up, and maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in our CRM system.
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the design and construction teams to ensure smooth project hand-off and exceptional customer satisfaction from the initial consultation through to final handover.
- Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of proven success in outside sales, preferably in high-ticket items, custom home improvement, construction, or the pool/spa industry.
- Design & Visualization: Strong ability to visualize and communicate complex, custom backyard designs. Experience with pool design software (e.g., Pool Studio) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to build immediate rapport and trust.
- Drive & Work Ethic: Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing a demanding schedule and territory.
- Local Requirements: Must possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a commission-based role with uncapped earning potential—your success is directly tied to your effort and results.
- Earning Potential: High earning potential with uncapped commission. Top performers can expect to earn $80,000 – $120,000+ OTE (On-Target Earnings).
